We will tell you in simple terms how hosting works, who likes to watch - at the bottom of the video.HOW HOSTING WORKS

What is a server

A server is a computer, hosted. Only this computer won't turn off, it works around the clock, so that anyone can connect to it via the Internet and see the files of our sites. He, like a simple computer, only works with software.

The server contains many such computers, they stack into blocks. In order for them to be in constant operation, they need high-quality uninterrupted power supply, and reliable hosting has a spare power generator, like in a hospital. Hosting may have servers in different locations, cities and countries. It is connected to the global Internet.

Let's imagine, what we paid for renting a computer on the server, or as they say We said we bought it or hosting. What's next?

What is needed for this, for everyone to see our site?

We place the site files on this hosting computer (server), and then it’s a matter of hosting. He does this, so that our site is visible to all users at any time. That is, keeps an eye on it, so that the server is always in working order. Typically, website creation occurs on home computers., and using a special program is transferred to the server of one of the hosting sites. This is how we edit the pages of our website.: we download the required file to our computer, change it and send it back to the server.

Site pages are a set of characters from one of the programming languages, which form the site code. The site also needs content (text, pictures), which are hosted right there on the hosting. And this code converts the browser on our computer into a visible image.

Each site has its own address on the Internet - a domain or domain name. Here is an example of a domain name for this site (look in your browser's address bar), https://nikoloz-job.kr.ua/kak-rabotaet-xosting/ – this is a second level domain name, that is:

  • kr.ua is the first level;
  • nikoloz-job — second level, belongs to the site owner, for which he pays rent annually;
  • /kak-rabotaet - domain addition shows the address of a separate (this) pages.

Let's sum it up. In order for all users to be able to see our site everywhere and always, such conditions are needed:

  • website address or domain;
  • website code and content;
  • hosting, which will store all this and provide round-the-clock access.
